IDE angle adapter (buffered) for Amiga 600/1200

The IDE angle adapter (buffered) allows the connection of up to 2 IDE devices to the IDE port of the Amiga 600/1200 or to another 2.5 inch (44 pin) hard disk connector. A special feature of this adapter is that it has a buffer which separates the total of 24 signals of the IDE from the rest of the system. This improves the signals and the system runs more stable. In addition, the adapter solves the known problems with the IDE LED of the Amiga 1200/600 (permanent light when CF/SD cards or IDE adapters are connected to the IDE port).

The adapter is available in two different variants (selectable above).

1. Female (socket): This is perfect for running SD/CF/mSATA to IDE converters with a male connector directly on the adapter without a cable (see picture 1,2 and 5).
2. Male (plug): This allows up to 2 IDE devices to be used with one ribbon cable. Due to the buffering, long IDE cables can also be used (see picture 3, 4 and 6).
